Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade Mohammad Sadegh Fazli to discuss the further development of the two countries’ relations.

Macut conveyed gratitude to Iran for its support for Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for its participation in Specialised Expo 2027, which will gather countries from around the world in Belgrade next year.
The Prime Minister said that he was particularly pleased with the strong interest of Iranian students in studying at universities in Serbia as part of the World in Serbia project.
Ambassador Fazli assessed that the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Iran represent a good basis for further advancing cooperation.
