Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić today presented to a delegation of the French Institute for Political Training the key foreign policy priorities of Serbia, emphasising that the preservation of peace and stability in the region, European integration and the development of partnerships with all countries are the cornerstones of the country’s diplomatic engagement.

Đurić said that Serbia pursues an independent, balanced and responsible foreign policy based on the principles of military and political neutrality, which enables it to build relations simultaneously with partners around the world.
Serbia consistently implements a policy of peace, dialogue and regional stability, advocating for the deepening of cooperation in the Western Balkans, the Minister said.
The head of Serbian diplomacy stated that the issue of Kosovo and Metohija is a fundamental state and national issue and the greatest challenge Serbia faces.
Belgrade is consistently committed to dialogue within the process conducted under the auspices of the European Union, but we are witnessing persistent obstructions by Priština and its prevention of finding a compromise solution, Đurić underlined.
He also pointed out the importance of preserving cultural identity, as well as the efforts Serbia invests in developing and improving demographic policy, stressing that these priorities are an inseparable part of the state’s long-term vision and a foundation for the future development of society.
