Slavoljub Muslin
According to Dzajic, Muslin resigned in spite of frantic efforts by the club to keep him at the helm as the former European Cup winners aim to qualify for next season's Champions League.
'I think the club has done everything to keep Slavoljub Muslin. If he had other reasons to leave, he should come out and say why he stepped down,' Dzajic said.
Muslin, who has won three league titles and two cups in two spells with Red Star, said he decided it was 'best for both parties to part company' after a meeting with Dzajic.
'I had big plans for Red Star but I realised they were unfeasible as things stand. I was also told it wasn't my decision to make so parting company was the best course of action for both parties,' he said.
Earlier media reports suggested there was a rift between Dzajic and Muslin over the club's transfer policy.
According to the reports, Muslin demanded that Red Star keep its best players and buy several reinforcements to strengthen the squad in a bid to qualify for the Champions League for the first time.
'I wanted to have a say in the club's policy but wasn't allowed to. We have won the double but nothing else has changed and I wish Red Star all the best in their future endeavours,' he said.
