Prime Minister Miloš Vučević stated last night in Paris that he is proud that Serbia was one of the countries that helped to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral.
Vučević, who attended the ceremonial opening of the renovated cathedral, as well as the gala dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron for heads of state, government and international organisations, said in a statement to the Tanjug agency that Serbia helped with the reconstruction according to its capabilities.
We were constructive in the renovation of this cathedral, which is important not only for the Catholic Church and France, but also for the whole of Europe and world culture. It is an honour to be here as an envoy of the President of the Republic, a representative of our state and to be in the company of people who are important players in the world of geopolitical events, he emphasised.
The Prime Minister stated that he had the opportunity to talk with US President-elect Donald Trump, who conveyed greetings to President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
He noted that he had also spoken with Elon Musk, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, King Philippe of Belgium, President Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and many others, adding that it is important for Serbia to be present at such events and for its voice to be heard.
