Prime Minister Miloš Vučević talked today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Belgrade Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko about the relations of the two states and cooperation on joint projects.
Speaking about the security of Serbia's natural gas supply, Vučević emphasised that the expansion of the gas storage facility in Banatski Dvor is one of the priority projects in the energy sector, as is the construction of the Serbia-Hungary oil pipeline, which is planned to start next year.
Botsan-Kharchenko referred to the Declaration in the field of modernisation of the economy which was signed with the Russian Federation, and said that it is an important document for joint steps on the economic map of our countries.
He pointed out that cooperation with the government and other institutions of Serbia is at a very high level, and thanked them for their support, especially when it comes to the implementation of joint cultural projects.
The two officials also discussed the joint commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade, which will be held in October this year.
