Serbia-Montenegro to face Switzerland in Davis cup playoff

London, 12 April 2006

Serbia and Montenegro will meet Switzerland in the Davis Cup World Group playoffs.

Switzerland lost to Mexico 3-2 in the World Group, while Serbia-Montenegro defeated Great Britain 3-2 in the match of the Group I.

The play-off draw was made in London.

Full play-off draw:

Austria - Mexico Germany - Thailand The Netherlands - Czech Republic Romania - South Korea Slovakia - Belgium Spain - Italy Brazil - Sweden Switzerland - Serbia-Montenegro

The ties will be held the weekend of September 22-24, with the eight winning nations advancing to the World Group for 2007, while the eight losers will start next year in Group I.
