Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said tonight that soldiers, fighters and their elders in the Army of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) are responsible for the battles at Košare and Paštrik, which thwarted the NATO plan for land aggression against Serbia, and said that they must never be forgotten.

Vucevic, at the commemorative academy marking the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Košare, said that the memory of 109 of them and that war year must remain inscribed in the moral and spiritual value system of today's and future generations.
He said that the example of the hero from Košare should be our guide at a time when Serbia is facing numerous challenges.
The organizer of the commemorative academy is the Committee of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for nurturing the traditions of the liberation wars of Serbia.
The Battle of Košare was fought from 9 April to 14 June 1999 in the area of the Rasa Košare border crossing, on the border of the former Yugoslavia and Albania.
