Đurić pointed out that the United Nations is one of the most important partners of Serbia, and that UNDP is one of the key factors in that partnership, especially in the context of the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to him, one of the brightest segments of our cooperation is the “Point of Return” programme, which with its goals, namely the promotion of circular migration, is multi-useful and complementary to the efforts of the Government of Serbia in connecting, returning, and contributing to the overall development of the country by young people.
The head of Serbian diplomacy, referring to today's 25th anniversary of the adoption of Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council, reminded that this document guarantees the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, of which Kosovo and Metohija are an integral part.
In this regard, the Minister underlined the importance of respecting the principles of international law and preserving status neutrality when marking the so-called Kosovo in all regional projects and platforms that take place under the auspices of UNDP, i.e. the importance of consistently respecting the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
