Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired the session of the Council for Coordination of Measures for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth, during which it was pointed out that the economic growth in January amounted to 3.8 percent, which is more than expected.

At the meeting, it was stated that we can expect better growth in the first quarter of 2024, with the ICT sector and the business services sector making the biggest contribution to growth in January.
Brnabic pointed out that construction, industry, road infrastructure, tourism, the ICT and business services sector, as well as new markets are key areas of the economy that are experiencing growth and should be in focus.
She stated that the “Serbia 2027” plan for the period from 2024 to 2027 envisages the comprehensive development of Serbia, along with programmes to raise the living standards of citizens.
The Prime Minister added that further investment in capital projects is necessary to preserve sustainable economic growth.
Speaking about the field of tourism, Brnabic pointed out that this economic activity is experiencing significant growth, which is primarily reflected in the increased number of visits by foreign tourists, and that it has great potential for further development.
