Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with representatives of the American Jewish Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) about partnership and cooperation opportunities with this organization.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the friendship between the two peoples, Serbs and Jews, has been confirmed throughout history.
She stated that Serbia cherishes the memory of the suffering of the Serbian and Jewish people during the Second World War and through the construction of the "Staro Sajmiste" Memorial Centre, a place of piety and reminder for the crimes against Serbs, Jews and other victims of the Nazis that must not be forgotten.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the strategic goal of our country is the preservation of stability and peace in the Western Balkans region, which is also a prerequisite for the region's economic progress and prosperity.
The president of AIPAC, Michael Tuchin, also pointed out that they highly appreciate the fact that Serbia has shown hospitality to Israeli sports clubs, which can, by playing games in Belgrade, participate in European sports competitions.
At the meeting, the types and possibilities of cooperation through partnership relations in numerous areas were discussed.
