The Prime Minister expressed her special interest in improving bilateral relations in several key areas, and expressed satisfaction with the recently signed Declaration on improving cooperation in the fight against organised crime between the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom.
The Prime Minister expressed great concern about the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, especially the fact that the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina are preventing the upcoming elections for deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija on 17 December 2023.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Belgrade has shown a clear commitment to dialogue and achieving stability and said that Belgrade will firmly continue to insist on the implementation of what was agreed upon in the Brussels Agreement.
Pointing to various initiatives in which Serbia participates, Brnabic emphasised the commitment to regional cooperation, which is one of the foreign policy priorities and contributes to the economic prosperity and development of the entire region.
Peach emphasised that the United Kingdom is determined to continue strengthening cooperation between the two countries, primarily in the fields of economy, environmental protection, energy, as well as in the framework of joint project cooperation.
The officials also discussed the opening of the creative embassy of the Republic of Serbia in London, which represents a kind of contribution to the promotion of creative industries and innovation of Serbia and its citizens in Great Britain.
