Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with representatives of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia about current problems and ways to overcome them.
Representatives of several trade unions presented to the Prime Minister the problems faced by workers in Serbia, pointing out that the issue of the price of labour is one of the most important and noted that it is a fact that wages have increased during the current year and that the unemployment rate has significantly decreased.
According to them, the lack of qualified staff in certain areas is also an obstacle that should be resolved as soon as possible.
Brnabic told her interlocutors that the ministers will be additionally engaged in the work of the Social and Economic Council, so that the council will be even more successful.
She underlined that dialogue is the only and best way to solve all problems and that she is completely open to conversation.
The Prime Minister therefore pointed out that it is necessary for the union representatives to send her proposals in order to jointly reach a solution, which they accepted.
The meeting in the Serbian government was also attended by Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali and Minister of Labour, Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic.
