Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic met today with the Minister of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Madat Guliyev, on the eve of tomorrow’s ceremony of opening the Armament and Defence Equipment Fair “Partner 2021”.

Agreement on military technical cooperation signed with Azerbaijan

The two officials signed the Agreement on military technical cooperation between the governments of Serbia and Azerbaijan.
Stefanovic said that the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation at the tenth, jubilee Armament and Defence Equipment Fair “Partner 2021” is one of the impulses and an excellent opportunity to discuss concrete steps aimed at improving cooperation.
With the entry into force of this Agreement, a legal framework for cooperation between the two ministries in the military economic and military technical sphere is created, through realisation of projects of common interest, Stefanovic said.
Guliyev said that he is honoured for his country’s participation in the “Partner 2021” fair.
Our presidents cherish close ties and support each other in everything and we, of course, support the integrity of the Serbian state. The agreement signed today will further improve relations between our countries, Guliyev stated.
