Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic met in Rabat with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco Saad Eddine El Othmani.
Selakovic pointed out that there are no outstanding issues between the two countries, and assessed the bilateral relations between Serbia and Morocco as very good, friendly and sincere.
He expressed confidence that the visit to Morocco would provide an impetus for the substantial improvement of bilateral relations, emphasising that Serbia is determined to develop comprehensive cooperation with Morocco and expects further intensification of political dialogue and strengthening of economic relations.
Selakovic expressed gratitude to El Othmani for Morocco's consistent policy and principled position regarding the non-recognition of Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, as well as for its active support of Serbia's efforts to preserve its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In Rabat, Selakovic also talked with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco Habib El Malki.
On that occasion, he stated that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Morocco are very good, friendly and that they are characterized by mutual understanding and trust.
When it comes to parliamentary cooperation, Selakovic assessed that it is a very important segment of the overall cooperation and noted that very good communication has been achieved in that area, which should be continued.
The Minister also mentioned that cooperation is also encouraged by the existing friendship groups in the parliaments, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between the two parliaments, which was signed in 2018, it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
