Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar held an online meeting today with representatives of the World Bank in order to implement further activities and support this organisation to the development of the Serbian health system.

Continuation of World Bank’s support to health development in Serbia

On that occasion, the current situation and implementation of projects supported by the World Bank in our healthcare system were analysed, and the details of the procurement of additional medical equipment, such as diagnostic and other devices for our healthcare institutions, were specified.
Representatives of this financial institution expressed satisfaction with the development of the health system of Serbia so far, and emphasised that they will continue to provide full support to further activities in this area.
The special importance of joint activities in the fight against coronavirus was emphasized at the meeting, and the Ministry of Health and the World Bank will continue to make efforts in that area in the next period.
