Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin confirmed today that 17 members of an organised criminal group were arrested in the action of the Ministry of the Interior, the BIA and the Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime.
At a press conference at the Palace of Serbia, Vulin said that criminal organisations will not be stronger than the law, and reiterated that the state will not allow the creation of a new "Zemun clan" in Serbia.
Ninoslav Cmolic of SBPOK assessed that this morning's arrest operation, which was planned for months, showed that there are no protected people in the country and that no criminal organisations will be tolerated.
