Red Star Belgrade booked their place in the group stage of the UEFA Cup after an 1-1 draw against Braga in Portugal, in the second leg of their first round tie. A first-half goal from Milan Purovic earned the guests passage to the next round on the away goals rule following a 0-0 draw in Belgrade in the first leg. Jaime Junior scored only goal for Braga on the 86th minute.

Maccabi Petah Tikva's qualified to the UEFA cup group stage in a sensational 5-2 away victory over Partizan Belgrade.
Striker Omer Golan grabbed a hat-trick, while Asi Masich converted a penalty and Partizan full back Marko Lomic scored an own goal to hand the Israeli side a shock win after the Serbia-Montenegro's champions had won the first leg in Tel Aviv 2-0 a fortnight ago.
Scorer for Partizan was Srdjan Radonjic.
