Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today, at the opening of the plant for collection and sale of honey "Our Honey" in Raca, that after much effort and work, the promise was fulfilled and the first Serbian honey house was built.
Brnabic, who opened the plant together with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic and President of the Municipality of Raca Nenad Savkovic, pointed out that this project has been completed from scratch to commissioning.
She reminded that the cornerstone for the plant was laid in 2018, as well as that she spoke about this project in her key note address in the Assembly.
"We tried to invest much more in equipment in order to support agriculture in general, but also beekeeping, so today we support you in buying equipment by taking over between 50 and 65 percent of the total investment in equipment," Brnabic said.
She emphasised that she will definitely return to the Serbian house of honey, in order to see how the conquest of the world market with this domestic product is progressing.
One quality project opens ideas and a way for others, Brnabic repeated and added that in that way a strategic cooperation between the government and the municipality of Raca was created.
The investment, as she pointed out, created the need to build new roads, to bring the Serbian honey house closer to Corridor 10, but also Raca to investors.
Therefore, as she emphasised, there was a need to build a bypass, for which project-technical documentation is currently being done, which also stipulates that honey does not have to be cleared through customs in Kragujevac, but in Lapovo.
During her visit to Raca, the Prime Minister also visited the works on the rehabilitation of the road, where she was presented with the plans for the future bypass, and with the Minister without portfolio in charge of demography and population policy Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, she also visited the works on the reconstruction of the kindergarten "Nasa radost".
