Epic Games builds science centre in Novi Sad

Novi Sad, 15 June 2020

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today a presentation of the project of building a new science and education centre for the development of advanced technologies in Novi Sad, which marks a step further in the investment of American company Epic Games in the IT community in Serbia and the region.

Brnabic assessed that this is the best indicator of Serbia's potential in the field of innovations and new technologies, and added that our country has all the conditions to become recognised for creating new technologies through the opening of science and technology parks and digital education.

The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of building a centre in Novi Sad, which will be the European centre of Epic Games, adding that this is something that cannot be paid for with money, and that we will yet see the importance of that for young people and further positioning and development of Serbia.

Brnabic also recalled that the other important project for Novi Sad is the construction of the Biosens Institute, in which approximately €10 million will be invested, adding that the construction is expected to start in September.

With these two projects in next three years, Novi Sad and Serbia will have no equal in new technologies, the Prime Minister said and reiterated that this is a signal for young people to get an education and stay in Serbia.
