Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic announced that, out of 256 users and 98 employees at the Gerontology Centre Nis, 151 users and five employees were taken care of in the Clinical Centre in Nis last night.
In a statement to Tanjug news agency, Djordjevic said that all users and employees were examined and are feeling well.
He said that because of a mistake of the director of that institution, immeasurable damage to the whole system was caused.
According to him, the director of the Gerontology Centre in Nis did something that is completely contrary to all activities undertaken by the state in the fight against coronavirus and thus made an unprecedented impact on human health.
We have shown that in such moments we are determined to punish all those who give themselves the right to make such decisions, to hide certain information that could endanger people's lives, the Minister said, adding that all measures were taken immediately to prevented damage that may eventually occur.
