Prime Minister Ana Brnabic today spoke with Director of the World Health Organisation for Europe Hans Kluge about expanding cooperation in improving the health system in Serbia, as well as support in the fight against Coronavirus.
Brnabic congratulated Kluge on his new post and expressed her satisfaction that he visited Serbia immediately after appointment.
She stressed that Serbia is seriously working on improving the health system, and that many projects are expected to be completed soon, of which reconstructions of clinical centres in the country are among the priorities.
Kluge said that the WHO's cooperation with the Ministry of Health is excellent, and that Serbia is prepared to face the possible spread of Coronavirus.
The officials concluded that preventive measures should be taken in the event of the Coronavirus spread, but added that the spreading of false news causes panic among the population and it should be suppressed.
The meeting was also attended by Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar.
