Obiore Odita scored the only goal of the game as Serbia and Montenegro champions Partizan Belgrade beat Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol in their football Champions League second qualifying round first-leg tie.

In the 63rd minute the Nigerian striker took the ball in his stride just outside the penalty area and rifled a half-volley on the turn into the far corner past Sheriff goalkeeper Sebastian Hutan.
