Coach of Serbia-Montenegro's national basketball team, Zelimir Obradovic, named a preliminary 16-man squad for the 2005 Men's Basketball European Championships, which will be held in Serbia-Montenegro, September 16-29.

The national team will be weakened by the absence of Predrag Stojakovic. Sacramento Kings' forward has ruled himself out citing tiredness.
