Brazil beat Serbia and Montenegro 3-1 (14-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-16) in the final match of the volleyball World League and took first place at the tournament.

Before more than 18,000 spectators at "Belgrade Arena" Hall of Sports in Belgrade, Brazil dropped first set, but then reigning Olympic and world champions got into a groove and easily won the match to capture third World League title in a row. In the 3rd place match, Cuba defeated Poland 3-2 (25-23, 22-25, 24-26, 25-18,15-13).
