The Serbia-Montenegrin women’s national volleyball team will play at the world championship for only the second time in history, and for the first time since 1978.
The women’s team beat the Greek national team yesterday in Dresden in three straight sets (25:18, 25:13, 25:19) in the third round of qualifications for the championships that will be held in Japan next year.
Serbia-Montenegro’s team overwhelmed the Greeks, winning in under an hour and without many mistakes. Finishing second in their group, they automatically qualified for the championships.
