Djelic said that the work on drafting the national sustainable development strategy took two years and that the whole job should be finished by November, which is a deadline for all those who are interested in submitting comments and proposals.
The strategy focuses on sustainable economic growth, sustainable social development and ecology, Djelic said.
The draft of the strategy is expected to be adopted by the government in February, after which it should be adopted by parliament, he said and added that funding will be set aside from the 2008 budget for ten to 15 pilot projects.
The projects will focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, waste recycling, clear technologies and implementation of the Kyoto Protocol, Djelic said.
The presentation of the strategy was attended by numerous delegates, representatives of multinational and domestic companies, experts, representatives of NGO sector and media.
