According to the final results of the run-off held on 20 May, the candidate of the “Let’s Get Serbia Moving” list Tomislav Nikolic won 49.54% of votes, while his rival Boris Tadic, proposed by the “Choice for a Better Life” list, won 47.31% of votes.
A total of 1,552,063 voters voted for Nikolic and 1,481,952 for Tadic.
Nikolic won 70,111 more votes than Tadic, while there were 98,664 invalid ballot papers, ie 3.15%.
A total of 46.28% of voters voted at the run-off, namely 3,133,682 out of the total number of 6,771,479 registered voters.
Tomislav Nikolic’s presidential mandate, which lasts five years according to the Serbian Constitution, will begin once he makes he is sworn in at the Serbian parliament.
