According to the statement, 877 persons have been accommodated in the Kosovo district, 593 in the Kosovska Mitrovica district and another 312 in the Kosovo Pomoravlje district.
The district of Pec has provided accommodation for 50 expelled Serbs and the Prizren district for a further 12 persons.
Ten monks of the Sveti Arhangeli monastery have found shelter in Sredska.
Security conditions have been improved, the statement said, adding that KFOR and SFOR have been reinforced and that local population has established contacts with international forces.
The expelled Serbs lack food, blankets, mattresses, beds, clothes, footwear, blankets and toiletries, the statement said.
