A convoy of eight trucks of humanitarian aid dispatched by the Serbian government reached Zvecan yesterday, from where it was distributed to Serbs in Priluzje, Plemetina and Gracanica, the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija confirmed and the Tanjug news agency reported.
Chief of the Coordinating Centre's Humanitarian Aid Office Zlatan Ribac said that the convoy passed the border crossing at Rudnica without problems, from where it was followed by British KFOR soldiers to its destination in Zvecane.
More than 104 tonnes of aid supplies for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, including food and toiletries, are being loaded today and will be sent by trucks of the Red Cross of Serbia and the Red Cross Association of Serbia-Montenegro.
According to the Red Cross of Serbia, the Serbian government's aid supply of 25 tonnes of flour and 25 tonnes of food will be sent to Serbs in the Kosovsko Pomoravlje district. The remaining assistance of 5.5 tonnes of water and juices, collected during yesterday's campaign "Serbia, Help!" will be delivered to the Red Cross of Kosovo-Metohija on Monday, from where it will be distributed to people hit by Kosovo clashes.
