16 Serbian churches, monasteries burned in three days

UNMIK has officially confirmed that at least 16 Serbian churches and monasteries were destroyed in Kosovo-Metohija from March 17 to 19, the Eparchy of Raska and Prizren said in a statement. According to the latest information, the number of damaged churches and monasteries could be even higher, the statement added.
Not including the latest destruction of 16 holy places, a total of 112 Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries have been destroyed or damaged in the province since the deployment of international forces in June 1999, the statement said.
