NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will visit Pristina on Monday to assess the situation in Kosovo-Metohija following the March 17 events in the province, said KFOR spokesman Jim Moran.
The NATO Secretary-General is due to meet with UNMIK head Harry Holkeri, KFOR Commander General Holger Kammerhoff and representatives of local institutions, the Beta news agency reported.
Scheffer has earlier condemned attacks on Kosovo Serbs and their churches and monasteries, confirming that NATO and KFOR are determined to preserve peace and stability in the province.
NATO has sent extra troops to reinforce its 17,500-strong KFOR force in Kosovo-Metohija for the first time since KFOR deployment in the province in June 1999.
