Nebojsa Ciric and Milivoje Mihajlovic
Mihajlovic told a press conference, held after the government session, that the government assessed that the decision of presidents of the municipalities in the north of Kosovo to enable the supply to KFOR gives a significant contribution to solving problems in the province.
The government believes that the unimpeded work of international missions in Kosovo-Metohija, provided that they return within the status-neutral framework, is a model for the stabilisation of the situation in the southern province.
He said that the government reaffirmed that dialogue is the right way for solving problems in the north of Kosovo and called on all citizens not to be taken in by provocations and to refrain from the use of violence against representatives of international missions.
Mihajlovic stated that the government passed at its session today the Bill on amendments to the Law on emergency situations which, among other things, extend the powers of crisis response teams at all levels.
He explained that the extension of powers establishes a platform for disaster risk reduction, namely of floods, fires, earthquakes and other natural disasters.
Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric said that the government adopted a regulation that will introduce regularity in the payment of liabilities of state bodies to the private sector.
Ciric explained that the purpose of this regulation, which applies to all ministries, state agencies, directorates and local self-governments, is to improve the liquidity of the economy and prevent problems in the functioning of the domestic market.
He specified that the estimates are that the state’s liabilities are around RSD 10 billion, of which RSD 4 billion is debt to private companies.
The regulation places a deadline for payment of 60 days and after the expiry of the deadline, the penalty interest rate will be calculated to all those who do not pay their liabilities.
Ciric noted that there are also private companies with huge debts to public companies.
