Obradovic said at the press conference held on the occasion of beginning of this project, that the goal of the project is to provide support to the system of professional orientation of young people in Serbia in line with the Law on primary education and the national strategy for career guidance.
He said that in modern conditions students are very likely to have to choose a profession more than once, which is why new generations should be able and ready to make decisions concerning the choice of their profession independently and appropriately in different periods of their life.
German Ambassador to Serbia Wolfram Maas pointed out that the choice of profession is one of the most important decisions in one’s life and that this decision has the biggest consequences.
Maas said that in this phase of life young people are less aware of their advantages, powers, abilities and preferences and therefore have no knowledge of the requirements and needs of the labour market.
This project has been supported with €3 million and is being realised with the partnership of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Youth and Sport and the German International Cooperation Organisation (GIZ).
