Director of the national quality control laboratory at ALIMS Slavko Markovic said that the new shipment of vaccines will also be tested as each shipment of medicines entering the country must undergo testing according to law.
Director of the centre for monitoring side effects at ALIMS Ivan Kovacevic said that information will be gathered regarding side effects as the vaccination goes on.
He said that WHO has provided a programme for monitoring side effects, adding that all data collected in Serbia will be fed into the WHO data base.
He said that it is very important that health workers are aware that they should report any side effects and to inform ALIMS or the Milan Jovanovic Batut health institute about them directly.
