After trailing 0-3 and 5-7, defending Olympic and world champions scored three time in the last quarter to beat Serbia and Montenegro.
In the title game, Gergeley Kiss scored four goals for Hungary. Serbia-Montenegro's Aleksandar Sapic, the tournament's leading scorer, got the ball with a chance to tie it in the closing seconds, but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Zoltan Szecsi.
