According to the statement, the delegation visited bases of the army and the Ministry of Interior in southern Serbia in order to ascertain the security situation, and members of the delegation also talked with municipal presidents and representatives of local Serbs in Presevo and Bujanovac.
President of the Coordinating Body, Rasim Ljajic, who visited the police and Gendarmerie base Bujic and the military base Sevadske Livade, said that the Coordinating Body will continue with intensive political and economic activities in southern Serbia.
Ljajic said that the continuation of economic renewal in southern Serbia which begun six years ago is in the interest of peace and political stability. He added that the situation is being carefully monitored.
Deputy President of the Coordinating Body Dusan Spasojevic stressed that the situation is stable and there are no indications that incidents might occur in southern Serbia.
The delegation included Deputy President of the Coordinating Body Nenad Popovic, Director of the Coordinating Body Nenad Djurdjevic, and head of the teams for implementing the projects of the Coordinating Body in Bujanovac and Presevo, Simo Gazikalovic and Branko Delibasic.
