The 35-year-old former Serbo-Montenegrin international has agreed a 12-month contract, and follows his former Lazio coach, Roberto Mancini, to the San Siro. "Another great player has joined Inter," Inter president Giacinto Facchetti said. "He has great quality and experience. I am sure he can help our team and we are happy to give Mancini the player he wanted."
Mihajlovic, who won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, UEFA Cup and Italian championship with Lazio, previously played for Red Star Belgrade - whom he helped lift the European Champion Clubs' Cup and European/South American Cup in 1991 - and UC Sampdoria before moving to Rome six years ago.
He becomes Inter's seventh summer signing after Giuseppe Favalli, Nicolas Andrés Burdisso, Lampros Choutos, Edgar Davids, Sebastián Verón and Esteban Cambiasso. Today, Inter were drawn to play FC Basel in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
