Serbia-Montenegrin athletes won a total of nine first places and secured 193.5 points, followed by Slovakia and Latvia which scored 183.5 and 172.5 points respectively.
Marko Jankovic won the 200-metre race, Mirko Petrovic won the 3,000-metre race, while Nenad Loncar won the 110-meter hurdles.
Female athletes from Croatia scored victory with seven first places and 182 points. Serbia-Montenegrin female athletes came in second with the same number of points but six first places. Slovakia was third with 170 points.
Olivera Jevtic won the 5,000-metre race, while Vesna Kostic won the long jump.
