He explained that the project will enable better access to data on water resources, as well as stimulate interdisciplinary exchange of data in this sector and increase water management efficiency.
A total of €2.8 million has been envisaged for the project "Preparation of Strategic Master Plan for Collecting and Processing Wastewater in Juzna Morava", specified Marjanovic. He added that the project will take two years and will help increase investment into wastewater processing. It will be implemented by Danish company

The third project titled "Preparation of Action Plans for Remediation of Three Severely Polluted Locations" is worth €550,000 and will enable the drafting of a remediation plan for three most polluted locations, explained Marjanovic. He also added that the project will be implemented by Danish company

EAR Head in Serbia Daniel Giuglaris stressed that help in the water management sector not only brings direct gain to people by improving the quality of the water, but also brings the country closer to the EU.
Giuglaris said that EAR in Serbia has already begun certain projects in this domain and recalled the Twinning Programme with Germany on improving the water management system and delivering water and wastewater quality control equipment. He added that Serbia received equipment worth €1.5 million.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Danilo Golubovic said that from January 200 to December 31, 2006 the EU delivered over €1 billion to Serbia in aid.
He pointed out that €1.28 billion has been envisaged for Serbia this year as part of the CARDS programme, which will this year be replaced by the single Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance programme (IPA).
