Lalovic said at a press conference held after the signing of the agreement that this document represents realisation of one part of the
Agreement on special parallel relations between Serbia and RS, signed in September 2006 in Banjaluka.
He said that the agreement signed today will enable direct cooperation between health centres and institutions of Serbia and RS.
Skrbic said that this agreement will enable that services at the Clinical Centre in Banjaluka be improved, so patients from RS will not have to come to Belgrade for treatment.
He also said that RS will soon start to repay its debt to health institutions in Serbia, specifying that in one month the repayment of debt to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade will begin, whose total value is €7.7 million.
The second part of the debt to Serbia's health institutions is some €10 million and will be repaid in the form of a tied credit.
Minister of Labour and Veterans Disability Insurance of Republika Srpska Bosko Tomic said that today it was agreed that for 235 persons from RS who have Serbian citizenship will be paid their disability allowances from the Serbian budget.
Thus, the government will help all war invalids who are citizens of Serbia to exercise their rights here, stressed Tomic.
He explained that this was in line with the protocol annex signed last September by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy and the Republika Srpska Ministry of Veteran Issues, Victims of War and Labour.
Tomic stated that they reached agreement today on preparing an agreement on joint observation of historical events important for the people of both Serbia and Republika Srpska. Once it is prepared, it will be forwarded to both governments for ratification.
