Particular attention was paid to conditions within penal institutions, as well as programmes implemented to foster the rehabilitation, resocialisation and successful reintegration of convicted persons into society.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of continuously monitoring the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and applying the standards developed through its case law, both in the legislative process and in the work of judicial bodies, with the aim of further strengthening the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
