Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in a caretaker capacity Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, held bilateral meetings with high-ranking representatives from Germany, Moldova, and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on the sidelines of the 20th anniversary meeting of Southeast European agriculture ministers.

In discussions with the German delegation, led by Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity Silvia Breher, it was assessed that cooperation between the two countries could be further strengthened in areas such as climate-resilient and precision agriculture, digitalisation, irrigation and food processing, as well as support for young people and women in rural areas.
Glamočić emphasised that Serbia highly values Germany’s support on its path toward full European Union membership, as well as its support for regional integration and the modernisation of agriculture.
At the meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Eugen Osmochescu, discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen ties between the two agricultural sectors, with particular emphasis on viticulture and winemaking.
During the meeting with FAO Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia Viorel Gutu, it was noted that Serbia and FAO enjoy excellent cooperation and that the next step is to further expand this partnership through new projects and a new Country Programming Framework for cooperation, aligned with the priorities of Serbia’s Agriculture and Rural Development Strategy.
