Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today with Deputy Managing Director for Western Europe at the European External Action Service (EEAS) Emanuele Giaufret to discuss relations between Serbia and the European Union, the dynamics of the accession process, regional cooperation and current international developments.

The importance of continuous and substantive political dialogue between Serbia and the European Union was highlighted, along with the need to further enhance comprehensive cooperation in the context of ongoing reform activities within the accession process and efforts to strengthen stability and connectivity in the Western Balkans.
Đurić emphasised that membership of the European Union remains a strategic commitment of the Republic of Serbia, reaffirming the country’s full dedication to continuing comprehensive reforms and further intensifying cooperation with EU institutions and Member States.
The meeting was also attended by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
