Predrag Bubalo and Zoran Stojkovic
Speaking at a press conference following the Serbian government’s session, Stojkovic explained that according to this Decree the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija, the Coordinating Centre for the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, and the National Council for cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia have become institutions of the Republic of Serbia, as is the case with all accredited bodies and the Institute for Standardisation.
He added that at the same time the Parliament of Serbia-Montenegro, the President of Serbia-Montenegro, the Council of Ministers, the Supreme Defence Council, the Court of Serbia-Montenegro, and all accompanying services of these institutions have ceased to function.
Stojkovic said that matters on which these institutions were engaged in work will be classified, so that matters of legality will be transferred to the Supreme Court of Serbia, while all further proceedings in matters which determine the harmonisation of acts with the law and the Constitution will be stopped, as is the case with unresolved matters, and do not concern the Republic of Serbia.
The Minister added that by this act archive material becomes archive material of the institutions of Serbia.
As far as employees in the institutions of the former state union are concerned, the Decree regulates which ministry will take on employees, said Stojkovic. He added that those made technically redundant will have the right to severance pay.
Stojkovic said that the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights is now a body of the Serbian government, in which certain affairs of the ministry will be transferred to the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior and the Council for Human and Minority Rights.
He recalled that in the upcoming 45 days the task is to adopt laws and other acts with the aim of realising the international legal subjectivity of Serbia as successor state of the state union.
Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo said that a Serbian government delegation led by Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica will visit Republika Srpska tomorrow.
The delegation will include Bubalo, Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic, Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic and Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov.
He specified that talks will focus on economic issues, aiming to improve economic relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska.
