At the opening at Sava Centre, Ristić noted that the overall longstanding work of the government of Serbia and the People's Republic of China and the mutual trust that has been built over the years have led to a harmonized policy of the two countries, growing economic and trade relations and partnership.
According to him, gatherings such as the forum confirm the success of both bilateral and trade relations, with the Republic of China being of the most important economic partners of Serbia, and also one of the largest investors in the Serbian economy.
The free trade agreement with China, which entered into force on 1 July this year, is one of the biggest indicators of successful dialogues and the shared future the two countries are striving for, the minister concluded.
The forum was organized by the People's Government of Shandong Province, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. During the gathering, approximately 150 companies from the People's Republic of China, as well as more than 80 companies from Serbia, were presented.
Within the framework of the programme, the potentials for further strengthening of economic cooperation between Serbia and Shandong Province, as well as with the whole People's Republic of China, were defined, according to the statement from the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
