At a joint press conference after the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Đurić announced that a whole series of issues were discussed, including cooperation in the economic sphere, which is growing year by year.
This year we are already marking a record year in our economic cooperation, but we are interested in further improvement, because good political and interpersonal ties can and should be supplemented by a greater connection of our economies, the head of Serbian diplomacy said.
Serbia is very interested in holding the first session of the Council for Strategic Cooperation, the Minister pointed out and noted that it will be a continuation of the already excellent level of official and formal communication between the two countries.
With his Azerbaijani colleague, Đurić also discussed modalities for creating mutually beneficial cooperation when it comes to the international exhibition Expo 2027, hosted by Belgrade.
We expect to have more than three million visitors at the exhibition and we would like not only to have a large and centrally located Azerbaijan pavilion, but also for companies from Azerbaijan to participate in all the activities that precede the event, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said.
According to him, today's conversation with Minister Bayramov also covered a wide range of political topics, including mutual support for issues of the highest state and national importance, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
