Amber alert activated in Serbia tonight for the first time

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications informed all citizens that Amber alert, known locally as “Find Me” system, has been activated tonight in the Republic of Serbia for the first time due to today's disappearance of a two-year-old girl in Banjsko Polje in Bor.

Danka Ilic is 2 years old. She disappeared around 1:45 pm in the Banjsko Polje neighborhood, 19 Vojvode Radomira Putnika Street, city of Bor. She has brown hair, brown eyes, is about 85 cm tall. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing: an olive green jacket, purple pants and black sneakers. If you have any information, please call the police immediately at 192.

This is not a demonstration exercise, the public is being notified about the missing minor - through SMS text messages, interruptions of radio and television programmes, announcements at bus and railway stations and airports and on highway signs.

The “Find Me” platform for informing the public about missing minors was established with the aim of providing a quick response in case of disappearance of minors by sending a unique alarm to different participants of the process, which contains basic information about the missing person, such as the police department where the case was reported, the name and surname of the missing person, age, physical appearance description, description of clothes, place of disappearance and other important information, the statement reads.
