On the plateau in front of the Belgrade City Assembly, a festive reception was organised last night for the Serbian players who won the silver medal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Manila, the players who triumphed at the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2023 in Jerusalem and the best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, who won his 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open in New York.

Basketball player Borisa Simanic received a standing ovation, who had a difficult operation in Manila after the game with South Sudan and was left without a kidney, but still came out on the balcony.
Djokovic arrived directly from New York, wearing a shirt of the national basketball team, and he also brought the championship trophy of the US Open.
I congratulate the players of the national 3x3 team, the national basketball team and thank them for being together tonight. No nation in the world has this spirit that we have. Long live Serbia!, said the world's best tennis player.
