Speaking at a press conference held in the Nis District Court, Stojkovic said that 96% of objections to the work of the judiciary are related to the inefficiency of judges, while only 3% are objections connected to classic corruption.
He said that only court matters will be left to the courts and in that context the adoption of the law on public notaries is of special importance. He added that by creating centres for mediation a large number of cases will be resolved in a peaceful manner, and courts will have less work because they will only be concerned with imperative legal provisions in those cases.
Apart from improving efficiency, the Minister also announced continuous advanced training of judges and the creation of an appropriate network of courts that would start functioning early next year.
Stojkovic delivered today the information system to the Palace of Justice in Nis, whose equipping was assisted by the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR).
Information systems were delivered to the courts in Nis, Krusevac, Sremska Mitrovica, Kragujevac and Novi Sad, and the agency's donation for this purpose totals €2.7 million.
