Begovic introduced Ambassador Macleod to the details of the BIO4 Campus planning and construction project, as well as other ongoing projects of the Ministry, including the Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project (SAIGE).
The interlocutors also referred to the great importance of investing in science, and pointed out that projects like BIO4 are the way Serbia should be seen in the world.
Our aspiration should be to create ecosystems that are challenging enough for local experts here in Serbia, so that they would want to come back or at least spend some time here, share their knowledge and contribute to the further development of those ecosystems. BIO4 will be such a place, announced Begovic.
The British ambassador congratulated Minister Begovic on her new position and pointed out that she is looking forward to future cooperation, pointing out the importance of entrusting the position to someone who is an expert in the field of science.
There is room for further deepening of cooperation between universities, because it is obvious that in Britain there are already a large number of experts from different fields who come from Serbia, Macleod said.
Also, on this occasion, Ambassador Macleod emphasised the importance of the activities of the British Council in Serbia.
